Can’t decide if this is iskei or portal fantasy. More leaning toward portal. Heavily influenced by ttrpg more than typical rpg. I was hesitant to start, but quickly got pulled in and devoured all 3 books in 2 days.
A group of friends prepares to embark on a new richly detailed campaign created by their resident GM Gary. Unfortunately they are sucked into the world after an ill timed wish or some other shenanigan’s that never became clear. Most of the group is completely unaware of their real lives, fully believing themselves to be their characters. But Gary is aware, and remembers all the details of the world.
Another rarity is that its a completed series! Absolutely will reread again.
